The Musicians of Bremen Live! Premieres at Segerstrom Center for the Arts
02.02.25
On February 8, 2025, Segerstrom Center for the Arts will host the world premiere of The Musicians of Bremen Live!, a vibrant new family production inspired by Grimm’s Fairy Tale. This co-production between Segerstrom Center and Cahoots NI, the acclaimed Northern Irish theater company known for creating captivating productions for children and families, brings a fresh take on a timeless story.
Set in the American Southwest, The Musicians of Bremen Live! follows four animals on an epic journey across the desert as they pursue their dream of becoming a famous musical band. The story celebrates imagination, adventure, and the power of collaboration, making it the perfect experience for families.
At the heart of the tale is Ruffles, a hen with a voice strong enough to stop a freight train. Lost in the desert, she joins forces with Mule, Bobcat, and Coyote. Together, they embark on a journey full of music, mischief, and surprises, determined to reach stardom in the big city. With live music, storytelling, and song, this modern retelling of the beloved fairy tale promises to captivate audiences of all ages.
Inspired by the Brothers Grimm’s The Musicians of Bremen, this production reimagines the classic story of four aging animals who, mistreated by their owners, decide to reinvent themselves as musicians. Now set against the warmth and wonder of the Southwest, this new version brings fresh energy and charm to the original narrative.
Perfect for children ages 4–8, this magical production offers a lively and engaging theatrical experience for young audiences.
